Who is responsible
Cloudyorchardscandi Ltd, company no. 15306724, is responsible for personal information handled for this publication. Our registered office is 34 Queen Square, Bath BA1 2HA, United Kingdom. Contact [email protected] with privacy questions or requests.
Browsing the website
Delivering a website involves processing technical information such as an IP address, requested resource, request time and browser information. Hosting and security services may record this information to deliver content, diagnose faults and prevent abuse. We use legitimate interests in operating and securing the publication as the basis for this necessary processing, subject to applicable law.
The supplied publication pages do not contain advertising pixels, analytics libraries, third-party fonts or embedded social widgets. Images and scripts are requested from the site itself. External references are ordinary links; following them takes you to services governed by their own privacy notices.
The local project-note builder
Text entered in the project-note builder is processed in the current browser page. The tool does not transmit your entries to us, store them in localStorage or save them on a server. Reloading or leaving the page discards the in-page note, although your browser or device may offer its own form-restoration features.
The Copy action requests access to write the generated note to your clipboard. The Download action creates a plain-text file on your device. Clipboard contents and downloaded files are then under your control and may be accessible to other software according to your device settings. Do not use the tool for sensitive personal information or confidential project material.
If you email us
We receive your email address, message content and any information you choose to include. We use these to review your enquiry, respond where appropriate, investigate corrections and maintain relevant correspondence. Our usual basis is legitimate interests in managing editorial communications; where necessary, we may also process information to comply with legal obligations.
Do not send sensitive personal data or third-party information unless necessary and lawfully shared. We do not sell correspondence or use it for unsolicited marketing. Publication of a contributor’s personal details requires an appropriate separate basis.
Service providers and retention
Hosting and email providers may process information on our behalf to provide their services. Access should be limited to what is needed for those functions. Where personal information is transferred internationally, applicable transfer safeguards are required.
We retain correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary for the enquiry, editorial record, dispute resolution or legal obligations. Technical logs should be retained for proportionate operational and security purposes, rather than indefinitely. Actual retention can vary with the purpose and circumstances.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Some rights are subject to exceptions. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity before acting on a request.
You can raise concerns with us or complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. If you are elsewhere, you may also have rights to contact your local data-protection authority.
